Welcome to My e-Learning Design and Development Portfolio

Project Title: Teaching Mayer's Principles through e-Learning

This digital portfolio will represent my knowledge of e-learning and design through the usage of specific design tools, created artifacts, the development of a design plan and project, along with my narrative reflection.

Problem:

In a graduate course about effective e-Learning development and design, each student was given the assignment to teach one of Mayer's multimedia principles. They were required to teach other students in the course their principle by using an e-learning module developed with one of many industry-standard authoring tools.

Solution:

An interactive e-Learning module was developed based on chapter 10 of the Ruth Clark and Richard Mayer's textbook, e-Learning and the Science of Instruction: Proven Guidelines for Consumers and Designers of Multimedia Learning (4th ed.) The e-learning module "Applying the Segmenting and Pretraining Principles" shares the content in this chapter and provides a model of effective e-learning and design.

Tools:

Articulate Rise 360 was used as the authoring tool for this project.

SCORM Cloud was used for sharing the created e-Learning content.
